BERRY CHILL ANNOUNCES “SELECTION ’08,”
PRESIDENTAL DEBATE VIEWING PARTIES OCT. 7 AND OCT. 15
“Vote” Early with the $3 Berry Obama or McCain Crunch
CHICAGO – Oct. 2, 2008 – Will it be Obama or Mcain? Selection ’08 at Berry Chill could help give an early indication of the city’s favorite this month, as the chilled yogurt shop debuts the limited-edition Berry Obama and McCain Crunch menu items. They are available now through Election Day for $3 each at both locations (635 N. State and the just-opened 132 N. LaSalle, across from City Hall).
The Berry Obama is five ounces of Original chilled yogurt topped with fresh blueberries, blue (candy-covered) almonds and blue sprinkles. The McCain Crunch is Original chilled yogurt topped with fresh strawberries, red (candy-covered) almonds and red Craisins.
In addition, Berry Chill will host viewing parties of the presidential debates on four 32-inch plasma TV screens at its flagship location, 635 N. State, on Oct. 7 and 15 at 8 p.m.
Voting results will be tabulated daily starting on Oct. 6 and posted at www.berrychill.com
Berry Chill is low-calorie, non-fat, delicious chilled yogurt with live active cultures in every bite. The all-natural yogurt bar has a daily menu of Original chilled yogurt (a tangy treat) and rotating flavors made with all-natural ingredients that include Peach Mango, Ginger Green Tea and Banana Walnut Biscotti. The original Berry Chill, which opened in March 2008 at 635 N. State, serves more than 1,000 people per day, seven days a week. The new Loop location is even larger, with outdoor patio seating for 16 people, laptop stations, and free Wi-Fi. Later this month, Berry Chill will open at 500 W. Madison (Ogilvie Train Station), with additional locations opening this fall at 957 W. Belmont and the Merchandise Mart.
At just 20 calories per ounce and 100 percent fat free, a serving of Berry Chill yogurt can serve as a healthy snack, meal replacement or guilt-free dessert. Made with lactose-free milk and yogurt, Berry Chill is deliciously creamy but naturally lactose free.
